My name is John and I'm currently a student at SUNY Cortland, majoring in political science and international affairs. I am entranced by the intertwining workings of our world, and I am very interested in working abroad for some sort of international organization. I am concerned with the current state of affairs in my country, the United States, and look to shed light on some of the contemporary issues that engulf our public discourse. This world has so much to offer and it's a tragedy to not look further into it. It's important to understand, appreciate, and acknowledge other cultures than your own to give yourself a more broad, global prospective. I started this website to deepen my own views and beliefs, and to inform others that are curious about various issues ranging from domestic (U.S) affairs to international and foreign news. Besides writing about politics, I write poetry, and I think words although intangible, if pieced together right can paint a picture and bring somebody into your world. I'm also a science fiction fan, rock/metal fan and play drums. My true passion is to hope that one day this world can be a more transparent, humane, and socially just place for those who have been oppressed whether through their own regimes or foreign influence. It's a tragedy the way humankind has fought against each other for the sake of resources and greed, and I hope that one day we can live in a world where war is just in our history books and not in our backyards. All support is appreciated, and so is any criticism of my writings. I'm a rookie when it comes to this and I just hope that you enjoy what you read and walk away with some sort of knowledge you didn't have before. I thank you for your time and interest in my website.
